It may be common sense to consider a new job if your workplace fails to give you a raise. On the other hand, you may not learned you can make as much money as you want per hour. The secret is to take your financial goals into your own hands.
When I was working, I did not care if I ever received a raise every again at my job. I did not need one. You know why? Because I learned that working a job is not the best way to make money. It is only what most people do so that’s what we are trained to depend on. We will dive more into this below in the title “Work on Not Need a Job”.
Not Enough Variation of Job Duties
Sometimes after doing the same job over and over, it simply gets boring. If the job is boring, it is very understandable how this could lead to being unmotivated. Have you thought about trying to get a new position or new responsibilities? Try to volunteer for a new opportunity when it arises so you can break the everyday routine. Not to mention, the job may think highly of you for stepping up.
Work is Too Strenuous
You can feel unmotivated to work if the job takes a toll on your body. For example, if you were a part of a home moving company (moving other peoples furniture every day), your body may not be in the mood to work. You may just feel sluggish and want to rest because you know straining work is on the horizon. The only way around this would be taking more time off between jobs or changing to a less energy demanding on job.
Work is Too Stressful for Me
How can anyone be expected to have motivation if they are feeling the overwhelming effects of stress? If you have strict deadlines, high visibility tasks, or a need for absolute perfection, this can worry you. Moreover, if you find yourself mentally at the workplace, this can be taking a toll on you because you essentially, are not getting a break. Try separating work and your personal life to give yourself peace of mind with a change of environment.
One of the easiest ways to do put this solution in action is to not think about work when you clock out. You are not getting paid to focus on work when you on at home. However, we know that some work on a salary basis so clocking out my not be your best separator. This will mean you will need to more consciously separate work and personal time. In some cases, this can still be done by only thinking about work when in the office then turning your work mind off when out of the office.
Co-workers are not your Friends
At most jobs, you have co-workers around you every day. If these people are not on your good side, this can make work feel unsatisfying. Especially, if these co-workers treat you differently or have done something you do not agree with.
Hopefully, everyone in the workplace does not make you bad. Try to find some common ground with a new co-worker to see if you both can find joy when at work together. Who knows, you might have a new friend a few steps from your typical location.
